New to the Zen Community
Are bookings required?
Yes, due to Covid-19 restrictions, bookings are essential for all classes on our timetable, this saves time on arrival to the studio, as well as securing your spot. It's easy and convenient to preregister online for your classes, just click the ‘Sign Up’ button to create an account and then you can download the ‘Achieve’ App.
Choosing your first classes
If you are new to yoga, it's a good idea to familiarise yourself with the different classes we have available. Please view our Yoga or Pilates page for descriptions of our various classes on offer. We offer a few different options for beginner students. If you are brand new to yoga you may like to enrol in one of our beginners’ courses or you can attend our drop in classes—either 'Yoga Essential', 'Slow Flow' ' or 'Yin’ classes are recommended for beginners. If you are new to Zen, however have practised before, we invite you to try out any of the scheduled classes on the timetable. We advise you to take advantage of our introductory special to sample our different classes, at different times to find the ones that best suit you as an individual. All of our instructors are very experienced yet naturally you will resonate with the style of some more than others.
Arriving on time
Please remember to arrive on time for your class, allowing sufficient time to find a park, sign in, meet the teacher and get setup for class. Our doors open 20 minutes before the scheduled class time. If it is your first time to the studio, please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of class. Upon class commencement, the studio doors may be locked.
What to bring?
You will need your own yoga mat, due to Covid 19 we do not supply hire mats or towels. As we are a fully equipped yoga studio, we provide yoga props (including blankets, blocks and straps) for your use within the class at no additional charge. We suggest you wear comfortable athletic clothing and perhaps bring with you a small hand towel and a water bottle.
